#i fucking hate title x bc gardasil is excluded

"free" healthcare of ANY kind is incredibly incredibly rare in the US.

i work at a sti/basic gyno clinic nonprofit and even then, we have extremely limited free or even reduced cost services.

the 3 that come to mind are

1: if you have proof you are at 100% or below of the poverty level, certain services will be free- but only ones covered under Title X, which disqualifies anyone who has been sterilized (bc its to fund "reproduction help")

2: 1 single type of IUD has a program if you have absolutely no insurance to apply for a free one (i think mirena?)

3: also an app for folks with absolutely no insurance coverage, for the gardasil shot, but you still have to pay the injection charge, and u must fill out the app for a 3 shots which is annoying for everyone.

and again- this is at a nonprofit clinic specifically geared towards ppl with little or no other healthcare access,

friend is explaining me the american healthcare system. WALK IN CLINICS COST MONEY??????
